This A-Series was created in collaboration with drum icon Vinnie Colaiuta and leads to find a sweet place between dark and bright, making it the primary choice for many top contemporary drummers.

  Like all Zildjian, A Customs cast bronze cymbals are exclusively poured and shaped from raw molten metal. All casting is cooled and separated by weight for each cymbal model. Then castings are put through multiple sequences of heating, rolling, shaping, hammering, and lathing techniques unique to each cymbal series. Custom cast bronze cymbals have an intense, full-bodied sound that improves with age. Zildjian A20540 also have greater projection, clarity, and durability than any other cymbals. The Zildjian cast cymbals are created from the Zildjian secret alloy, which is constituted of 80% copper, 20% tin, and traces of silver.
